In a standard 2-bed RTO, when the inlet and outlet valves switch to regenerate heat, a small volume of untreated gas (the &#8220;puff&#8221;) trapped in the inlet plenum and the bottom of the ceramic bed is forced out the stack. For general VOCs, this might be acceptable, but for HAPs, this &#8220;puff&#8221; can cause immediate permit violations. EVER-POWER addresses this through two distinct technological pathways: the 3-Chamber RTO and the Rotary Valve RTO. The 3-Chamber design dedicates one chamber to &#8220;purge&#8221; mode, where clean air sweeps the trapped HAPs back into the combustion chamber before that bed is used for exhaust, ensuring zero bypass.
